"If you do the research, you'll find that first time authors face monumental hurdles convincing publisher's that their book is worthy of publishing. You'll find out how many times you have to submit it for review and be turned down. If you get through all the hoops, and find a publisher, your return will be minuscule. Self-publishing allows you to design your book from cover to cover. While this means a cash layout at first, self-gratification comes when you market your book and see the returns- financial and personal- that you have achieved. For me this has been a most rewarding experience!"
